Wood Watch FAQ

My wrists are small. Will the watch fit me?

Yes! All the watch bands run slightly large. Which means they all fit. If you need to remove links it’s easy! Here’s a How-To’ video. We recommend using a jewelry, though, as the watches are very sensitive.

I’m allergic to metal. Can I still wear the watch?

Our watches are 100% natural wood. It is rare you will have a reaction to this material. The clasp is stainless steel. If you are allergic to metals, this may pose as a problem. We suggested a limited use trial. See how your skin reacts. Take the watch off immediately if you think you are experiencing any negative effects.

You say the wood watches are hypoallergenic. What does that mean?

Our wood watches have no dyes, preservatives, alcohol or nickel. The word hypoallergenic therefore applies to these watches as they greatly reduce the risk of any allergic reaction.

Can I swim with the watch?

Our watches are water “resistant” not “waterproof”. Minimal exposure to condensation, light splashes, rain or snow will not get into the dial. Please do not completely submerge the watch dial for any amount of time.

Can I replace the battery?

Of course you can. Buy a new battery from any watch or jewelry shop. We suggest also having them replace the battery itself.

How heavy are the wood watches?

Our wood watches weight about 1.5 ounces (42 grams). This makes them light on your wrist but heavy enough to ensure you feel you are wearing a first-class luxury watch.

How do I clean my watch?

For unvarnished wood, mix two tsps each of olive oil and lemon juice and apply a small amount to a soft cotton cloth. Wring the cloth to spread the mixture further into the material and apply to the furniture using wide strokes. This helps distribute the oil evenly. If at any time your watch looks lighter or starts to change in appearance, we recommend that you apply a natural coating such as beeswax, lip balm, butcher block oil or walnut oil. Regular application can help to protect it against damage and improve the durability of the wood and help maintain the moisture balance to prevent drying or cracking.
